		<description>Rachel,  I think you have articulated the dilemma that many of us who are firmly rooted in middle-class America face; we want to be compassionate and love &#039;the others&#039; but we don&#039;t want to have to face how much alike we really are if all the externals are stripped away.  It&#039;s hard to follow Jesus because it means leaving our comfort zones and declaring solidarity with &#039;the others&#039;.  Thanks for the thoughtful reflection.  I&#039;m going to read the book.  Have you thought about submitting your reflection to THEOOZE?</description>
